Over-use didn't break the fan...the problem is due to dust in the fan bearing. All you can do now is clean it as best you can. As a precaution, you could remove the fan & add a drop of oil to the bearing. But if you're concerned that the fan might seize up & overheat your GPU to death, you should consider replacing the fan with a new one or at least shutting down the PC when it's not being used. In the future, clean the inside of your PC on a more regular basis. |
