If it's windows OS, you can use shutcmd to shutdown remote computers. It's part of NT resource kit.

Example:
SHUTCMD /L <--- shut down local computer
SHUTCMD \\SERVER1 /Y <--- shut down remote computer SERVER1
SHUTCMD \\101.36.22.14 /Y <--- shut down remote computer 101.36.22.14

Hope this helps.
