Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.12
To eliminate this requirement, perform the following steps:
1. Start the Microsoft Management Console (MMC) Local Security Policy snap-in (Start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Local Security Policy). 2. Expand the Local Policies branch. 3. Select Security Options. 4. Double-click "Network access: Force network logons using local accounts to authenticate as Guest." 5. Select Disabled, and click OK. Click here to view image 6. Close the snap-in. 7. Reboot the system for the change to take effect. Now you have share permissions and file security on NTFS volumes. On FAT volumes, the Security menu will remain unavailable. Woooh it's a very simple schedule to follow.. ;O) Take care |
