Phone to laptop through bluetooth

Hello,

I am not able to connect my phone to laptop through bluetooth. As the bluetooth software was already there on my laptop so I tried to connect it. When I activated bluetooth on my phone that is Nokia 5800 I was able to see my laptop name on searched devices but when I pressed on its name it showed me an error that "Unable to connect." Plz suggset me for this that do I have to activate any settings on my laptop also?

Hi there,

you should make the laptop to be visible

go to tools and enable it

and set a password to pair device

Sal,

When it comes to bluetooth, I have had better luck connecting the two devices through the laptop and not the phone.

So does your laptop see the cell phone when scanning?
