My laptop keeps showing blue screen error

everytime i try to load up my laptop it can only manage to get to the usual windows xp part then shows a black screen then after a few seconds shows a blue screen with:
STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error}
The session Manager Initialisation system process terminated unexpectedly with a
status of 0xc0000034 (0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.
Please help, i also try to access my laptop in safe mode but loads with a black screen & white writing with numbers and codes and stuff but then shows the blue screen.
please help me.
