Hello,

I need to install my Linsys WRT54G2 router. It works fine but I live in a big apartment complex now so I need to password protect it. It's my old roommates router so I don't have the installation cd or the software on my computer. I went to their website and downloaded the steup wizard but it is just a big folder and I have no idea which folder to open and what progra, to run. I attempted to run the "Windows Installer KB893803-v2-x86" file but it says files have to be extracted before I can run it. I tried extracting files (no clue what that means) and I tried choosing the option of just running it. Neither of them work.

Can someone PLEASE help me with this? My roommate needs to use the internet too so I need my internet to be wireless.

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Why you need disk to setup it ???

just type ip address of your router in browser followed by \\ and login in it and there some secuty settings u will and in that you need to apply wep key enabled in security settings and type key there and you have secure your wireless just it..
