Hello,
I tried to install windows xp professional on my acer system. I made my first bootable device as cd rom and the second as HDD. The system boots from the cd and shows that setup is loading the files. And immediately after that a blue screen pops up and says a message. I'm not able to move further. the message states something like this setup could not continue if this is the first time...........chect for viruses on ur computer......run chkdsk-f....and so on....
So please somebody help me out in solving out this issue. How can I install windows. Is it possible. I am waiting for ur reply.....
Thanks a lot in advance.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.5.2

MY suggestion is that just remove any new hardware inserted and after that try again to install operating system if that that problems appear again just try to change operating system that was been used for example if in that computer firstly has window xp sp1 now try to install Window Xp sp2,3 or vista if the problem continoue just change operating system from Microsoft to Mac tosh .

NOTE:MAKE SURE THAT YOUR HARDWARE IS WORKING PROPER THAT CAN NOT FORM CONFLICT WITH SOFTWARE THAT WAS INSTALLED.

You were right. Had to change SATA mode to ATA. Now no screen of death.
