Hello,

I opened my new GX-730 laptop today and turned it on to find a initial setup screen. It seemed to be taking awhile so i plugged in the AC but the power strip was switched to off and the laptop died half way through. I restarted the laptop and came across a windows system file error. Now ive been trying to install either Win Xp 64bit or Windows 7 64bit but i keep getting errors during the install. Now when i start the laptop i get a BOOTMGR missing error. Can anyone please help me.

Configuration: Windows Vista home 32bit came with but i want 64bit XP
Firefox 3.0.13

You should never update a computer without insuring that you have a stable power supply.

I would try returning the Laptop and not telling them about your attempts to load another OS.

Good Luck
