All exe files don't work

Hello,

all my exe files do not work , all my programs don't work at all !!!! n all d exe files have become lnk files whenever i download any files they don't work .i have a cd ..''windows xp home edition quick restore cd'' but on d screen it shows ''install xp'' ,but wen i clikd it nithing happens..d main thing is tht i had an anti virus software which was licensed - kaspersky...n it was very helpful..n den yesterday , i downlodd a file ...& kaspersky detected it...n it was a virus...i den deleted it thru kaspersky ...it den came ...to fully delete it restart d computer...so i did...n den all my programs , exe files don't work....except for songs, videos n movie players !!!!! please help me i'm losing my mind !!!!!!!!!

Hye there,

You computer is infected,

I will advise you to restore your system to an earlier date when everything was working correctly

Press F8 to when your computer starts and Access the Safe Mode

System Restore:
Press Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools ----> System Restore Open it and then select a date when you we not infected then press next Let the process to be done Restart your machine normally This will solve the problem
