Hello,
I have a compaq presario that is several years old. All of sudden out of the blue we get the message "Disk boot failure , insert system disk and press enter. When we try to run the recovery disks we get the message: :No hard drive found". We only have a black screen with no ability to access any programs. Any help will be appreciated.

Configuration: Windows Vista Internet Explorer 7.0

Hye Sir,

This means that the computer cannot read from the hard driver or the computer isn't detecting a hard drive,

Please make sure to check if the hard drive is connected properly,

I will advise you to change the IDE cable connecting your hard drive to your motherboard!

Then restart and access your bios by pressing DEL or F2 button when your computer starts to check if the bios detects the hard drive

Thanks
