Hello,

I just installed a new graphics card in my computer and now when i connect my HP monitor to it, I get a "No VGA Input Signal" message and the monitor goes into sleep mode. If i try to connect the monitor to the onboard graphics, I get the same message, but if I take out my new graphics card and connect it to the onboard graphics, everything works, but I miss out on my new graphics card.

In addition, when i switched the monitors, I was able to see Windows on screen, where as with the other monitor, I'd only get a black screen with the "No VGA Input Signal" error.

Can anybody help with this?

Configuration: Windows Vista
Firefox 3.0.13

Hi,

There seems to be a conflict between the integrated graphics chipset and the new graphics card.
You may need to disable the integrated graphics chipset in the BIOS:

--> Reboot your computer.
--> Press the "enter setup" key which is displayed on the screen.
-->In the BIOS Menu look for the advanced settings, in this menu find the onboard graphics peripherals.
-->Set the option to disable(d).
-->Save changes and exit.

If you can't find the item, please look up the location of the item in the Mobo user's guide.

hope this helps.

Yours.

I went into the BIOS to try to disable the integrated graphics, but when i went, there wasn't any option to disable it except for a "Primary Video Adapter" option with the following settings:
- PCI
- PCI-Ex1
- PCI-Ex16
- Onboard

I tried going through all of them with no success so I'm wondering if it could be the monitor that could be the problem? Because when i switched the monitors, the new monitor (Samsung SyncMaster 216BW) was able to display images even with the new graphics card installed, where as with my previous monitor (HP w2007), it failed to, but the HP was able to work with my other computer with a ATI Radeon HD 4670 installed.

Any ideas?

P.S: the video card I'm trying to get to work is my old ATI Radeon x1650 Pro.

Okay, I just switched out the ATI Radeon x1650 Pro into my main computer and the same thing happens:
1. No display when using the ATI Radeon x1650 Pro graphics card in conjunction with the HP w2007 monitor.
2. ATI Radeon x1650 Pro graphics card is displayed if used with my Samsung SyncMaster 216BW.

I may be wrong but it seems that the x1650 doesn't work with the HP w2007 monitor.

Again, any ideas on this?
