Net not connecting

Hello frdz,
Iam using BSNL broadband net. I cant connect to the net. It is showing 1232 error while i typed 192.168.1.1 in run.....After tht i restored to previous best configured data. Now i typed again 192.168.1.1 in run... itz opening Mozilla n showing page loading error.......wht ve to do.....is it net problem r my lappy prob?

Configuration: Windows vista home premiume
Firefox 3.0.13

Open a dos box,
type netsh enter
diag enter
show test enter.

you will get a response showing any failures in communication.
