Acer aspire 4376z first time battery recharge

Hello,
I have bought a new acer aspire 4736z laptop, the shop owner told me to first time charge it for 8 hours, now i don't know should I charge it for 8 hours plus should i keep my laptop on or whether off.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.5.2

Hello,

You just have to plug in the charger and let it keep charged for 8 hours before you use it

The battery should be totally charged up

Another question plz..when my battery is empty i mean 0% after use then for how many hours i have to recharge that and when to recharge when battery is 0% or can I do it in between..plz do reply...

Hi, make sure your BIOS is updated to make sure no faulty battery is being charged. I googled it ;)
