Accesing the web cam in a pc using ip address

Hello,
I need to work on a new project. The project is to make web cam available in all the branches of a store to check the status of the required room and should be available to the manager in a single click rather than enabling it personally by the respective branch people. So, I want to know how can I assign the IP address to the web cam program and make it available at anywhere. Its just like the cameras used by many general stores to view interior activities, but my project is a web enabled one. So, please any one let me know how to complete it sucessfully as early as possible.Please mail me at- asinit2005@gmail.com.

Typically, USB webcams are not networkable. One solution is to connect it to something like the Belkin Network USB Hub and then you can access it from any computer. You can also check out this link, it does exactly what your looking for i believe. http://www.camerahacker.com/...
