Problems with associating profile to monitor

Hello,

I've got the Spyder2 Suite. It works great on my laptop so I don't think it's a ColorVision problem. I have Viewsonic LCD on my PC. I can apparently profile the monitor but when I try to associate the profile to the monitor, I get an error that it's not a valid color profile.

I have talked to ColorVision tech support until they threw up their hands. Anyone have an idea what could be happening?

The answer will be something strange. BTW, I've tried a Dell monitor and a different manufacturer's video card. No difference…

I really need your help, guys ! Thanx.
