im a bit new to this site but i was hoping i could get some help with my external HD. it is a WD 1Tb external a couple days ago my HD erased i dont know how or why but i lost all my files. i pretty much gave up on getting back the files now i just want to be able to use the HD again. i can see it in the devise manager but not in My computer, under properties it sais
location: 0
under volumes it sais
disk: 1
type: basic
status: online
Partition type; MBR
capacity: 0MB
unallocated space: 0MB
reserved space: 0MB
i cant re format it and im pretty much lost on what to do
any advise anything at all would be much help

Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.12
If you can see it in device manager but not my computer it probably means that the drive it isn't initialised. If you right click my computer and select 'manage' then 'disk management' on the left it will list all the drives you currently have connected to your pc.
