I cannot install windows xp on my sony vaio

Hello,
I cannot install Windows xp on my sony vaio VGN- fw21M laptop.It boots from CD, but then stops the process and says that it cannot run windows because i could damage the computer.What i must do?I hope you can give me an answer.Thanks a lot.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Hello Sir,

If you had vista installed on your Vaio laptop,

You will have to access your BIOS settings,

Change the SATA operation mode,

Change it to IDE

Just change any sata settings

Then install XP

Thank you very much,but there is still a problem.My BIOS has just a few choices.Main, with the date and time;Boot;Security and a part where i can save or discard the settings.When i read the help,it told me to what i've already done to enter BIOS.Sorry, but i hope you'll answer me again.Thanks a lot again.
