HELP!

I got sims 3 installed on my pc, but it says my video card doesnt support 'at least shader model 2'. I'm on Windows XP, and my computer is just over 3 years old. What can I do? It also says 'device 0 cannot support this title'. Is there a way to get it running without having to buy a whole new video card? And if not can anyone recommend one that plays the sims 3 well. I also have no idea how to install a video card, Please help!

Thankyous, xo

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.12

Almost the same thing happened to me...well what you can try to do first is turn down the graphics on your computer...if this doesn't work then you can buy another video card...but this is where the trouble comes in...if you are on a desktop then on how to install a video card go to this website:

http://video.about.com/desktopvideo/videocardr3-mov.htm

If you are doing this on a laptop then go here:

for part two

I hope you get your problems solved!! I have a laptop and i used the links above and now sims 3 works perfect!!!
