Hello,
i was installing this game called soldier front that my friend said to get, and after all the hastle of downloading it, i got to install it and when it did, my computer restarted itself really quick. it turned off and back on in less than 2 seconds after i installed the game, when it was startin up the logo showed as if there was no problem after the loading where it says windows xp home edition, the screen just stays black. i waited and waited and it stood still it didnt load up the desktop. i turned it off and turned it back on i put on safe mode, alot of lines came out and it stops and stays there. i think the installing of the game and the restartin of the computer might of messed up the hard drive beacuse i took out and put it in my brothers computer as a secondary and searched everything and everythin was fine. just there was no files in system folder. and when i put my hard drive as the master in my brothers comp, it still stayed in the black screen. any help? wat can i do, and i dont have the windows cd so i cant just pop it in and choose system recovery so any other way to fix this?

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 2.0.0.15

I haven't found the solution yet, but if hit cntrl/alt/delete, then task manager, then file, then run (new task) and type in explorer.exe, your icons and taskbar will come back, but they'll go again when you restart or shut down......still hunting for the full solution

Try Disabling WDS (Windows Search) in Services - that fixed it for me - I'm troubleshooting other services too, but now at least I can fully load windows

Lol SF SUX.
Get CoD4 or something SF has horrible graphics. If you're too cheap to buy games(like I used to be) then at least play Combat Arms its got better graphics and such than SF.

Try pressing alt+tab SF has this hack-prevention thing that closes the game when you press alt+tab(even tho its change windows).
