I have the same problem. A restart is not a solution. I've also tried right-clicking on the local drive icon and clicking on Properties, but the Change icon button doesn't show.

Solution to your problem,... and it worked for me;

1) Right-click the drive that has got a changed icon,
2) Properties,
3) Click 'Tools' tab,
4) On "Check Erros" section, click "check now" button...

Wait until the process is complete, and you are done.

In my case, my Operating System is in Portuguese, so the steps are;
