HELP!! error code 8000401a

Hello,
The other day I logged on to windows live messenger and it said update now to the latest one, I done that and it downloaded fine. But now when any one tries to sign in it says error 8000401a

How can I get my old windows live messenger back becuase it seems lilke the new one is crap as i cant sign in, can anyone help pls. Thanks

Hye there,

Just uninstall Windows Live Messenger from Control Panel > Add and Remove Programs,

Then download the 8.5 version here:

http://www.microsoft.com/...

This is the best version of windows live messenger

Now the only problem with this is 8.5 isn't available and it now forces you to download 9.0.
Any fixes?
