I can't connect my laptop to my tv

Hello,
i have a sharp 32" inch tv and a sony vaio laptop. i have connected my laptop and tv trhough a vga-hdmi cable. the computer recognizes the cable and allows me to duplicate the screen but the inputs on the tv don't seem recognize the computer. please help.

Dear Sir,

Please install the HDMI drivers again!


Then connect your tv then go in your display properties and select your tv there
