Laptop dell inspiron 1150

i have a dell 1150 Inspiron a friend of mine own. they forgot the admin password for the Bios and i can not bypass it. I have looked online for help, call dell support but the laptop is not registered in their name. I found on forum that suggested i remove and replace the CMOS battery. I did that but now I can not get the laptop screen to come on and the fan run but shuts right off. HELP!
