Hello.
So I tried restarting my Acer laptop because it was refusing to open Microsoft Word, and now the computer won't boot up. It will go to the screen and allow me to select a mode to start in (Safe mode, last known configuration, etc) but after hitting enter on any of them the screen goes black and it makes a strange little noise then tries to start up all over again. I tried unplugging it and it does the same thing running off just the battery. I tried resetting it to factory defaults, with no luck. I'm not the most computer savvy person in the world and I have no idea what to do with it. I'll try removing the battery and putting is back but I'm not sure if that'll do any good. Has anyone else had a problem like this?

(It's probably something simple that will make me feel like an idiot, but I'd love to know the answer anyway.)
