Hello,
I want to link a laptop to a tv. The laptop is an advent, not sure which model, but it appears that it may be linked to atv. The tv is a toshiba which is HD ready, has a vga socket and a HDMI. I am wondering if there exists a cable that will plug into the laptop using a DCi connection and a VGA connection on the other end. Also I have read that using DCI, the information that needs to be transfered to the tv could contain to much data for the laptop to send in order that the picture displayed will be, larger-in this case 47" and of a good enough quality. I am aware that you can get a connecting adapter, but I am unsure as to whether there are adapters that switch vga to HDMI, DCI to VGA, VGA to scart or DCi to HDMI. Thank you

Hi,

you can connect via the VGA connection.

there is a CRT/LCD button on the F keys of the laptop, check it.

press it while holding the Fn key.

this should allow you to connect properly.
