Dell dimension ram how much can I have

Hello,
My mom has a Dell Dimension 3000 desktop p4 2.8g .It has only 2 dimms with 256 meg of ram in each (pc3200 DDR 400mhz).I want to upgrade her ram Whats the most I can put in.Could I put 1 gig sticks in each slot?

Hi there,

please remove the memory slot ,

search for the frequency on it then you can put the desired Ram

but with the same frequency or you'll be getting blue screen or dump memory.
