"A disk read error occurred" at boot up

Hello,
I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 that is currently running Vista. When I boot up the computer it reads "A disk error occured, press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" and every time I restart it, it says the same thing.
What can I do?

Configuration: Linux
Firefox 3.0.11

please try to do recover by using your recovery cd obtained from supplier.
