Ps3 to laptop wireless

Hello,
i have a laptop and a ps3 and i wanted to know if you could hook them up wirelessly? they both get on the enternet wireless just woundering. how to get moives from laptop to ps3 ? id rather watch movie on tv useing ps3 . tv not new enough for usb or hdmi cable

No this can't be done,

You will need a switch or router to connect the 2 devices to the internet
