Why does my laptop keep making a alarm noise

Hi. i wondering if anyone can solve this problem i have,
i turned my laptop on about a week ago and it made a alarm sound and it would not go off, so i turned it off and then i tryed it again and it is still maiking the same noise with a blank screen?.
can anyone help!
