Hello,
when i start my pc an alert message apears which reads " you may be a victim of software counterfeiting this copy of windows did not pass genuine windows validation "and it appears permanently in desktop bottom in right side.please advise me to solve the problem
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.11
I had a similar msg. but never paid it any mind. PC was never online so it wasn't a big deal. Well today i moved its location and decided to connect it to my router. Well the msg appeared and i ignored it as always. PC started acting funny and very slow, kept freezing. I restarted and it asked me to install updates and then restart. I ignored it a few times, then i said F'it it might be what this PC needs to speed up. But keep in mind the day before it was smooth. Now i start the damn thing and it takes me to my desktop but no icons, no menu or start bar. Just my lonely wallpaper. I am running Windows XP, for nothing special just my Quickbooks. Now im screwed cause I can't even access those files. That is what i really need!
