How can i tell if my laptop has a dvd burner?

Hello,
How can I tell if my laptop has a dvd burner? And if you could "dummy it down" for me step by step of where to look and that kind of thing....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

you can simply take a look at the drive.

it will be written if it is DVD ROM only if the drive is not a writer.

and will display DVD ROM/R/RW if is a writer.

um it reads DVD ROM

and then next to it it reads Compact disc ReWritable??????? what is this?
