This happens on both on call of duty 4 and world at war. People say to resart the ps3 but still does not work as i tried 10 times or so. Pealse reply and tell me how to fix this problem and also to give a detailed reply.....

The best way I have found to get around this, is to start a party and play with your friends that way. You get the game session no longer available message for many reasons full room, uneven teams, server full whatever number of countless reasons (free networks are not perfect). You start a party before you choose a map, in the Find a game, Create-a-class, Barracks menu just press the triangle to add friends. Then who ever started the party finds the game and puts your party in the mix with everyone else or your party can play just your party in your own custom games. hope this helps look me up on World At War " Dealtaduck2point0 "

I looked up your problem and found it's not just us. Here is a quote I found "The best solution is to open/forward ports on your router. COD4 requires TCP ports: 80; 443; 5223 and UDP ports: 3658; 3478; 3074; 3075. This list comes straight from Activision phone support." from fixya.com the blog is about COD 4 you should read the whole blog there is some good info there that might help you out http://www.fixya.com/support/t389000-call_duty_4_online_invite_problem

Ok so i tried th port stuff, and before i did that i figured out that. if you go to you PS3 main menu, that you get when you first start your ps3 (not the game)

go to SYSTEM -> SETTINGS -> NETWORK SETTINGS -> INTERNET CONNECTION TEST

Run the test, and you should be good to go.... i have a friend who lives in the same city and some people were having problems even just playing with people within their cities, rather then people who lived somewhere else... did that and it worked once i went into the game and invited my friend no problem..

Ok guys, need some help. When I go to update my ports I see three boxes: 1) Application and 2) Start to End for Port Range.

Which box to I place these values that the above poster claimed he got from Activision?

Guys, its call of duty mw2's server side and patch problem atm. An update is expected sometime between now and friday at the latest.

Once the servers are back up (down right now) they will probably still have the add a friend to your party problem theres an easy way to get around it for now, i played last night with 9 of my friends. You have to every single time completely delete them off your flist WHILE YOUR BOTH INGAME and then readd them, THEN invite. might nt work the first time took us upto 3x's sometimes, eventually... 45 mins later god forbid, we were all together again like we wanted and romped 8+ matches of ground war, then hardcore team deathmatch once some left.

Hope this helps

K!La Clan fk yeaz, and Edge316 to add me ingame ps3

ITS cause of the ppl routers....its gotta be a open router or you might not be able to connect with some people...gotta be done through the computer
