Can't Open USB Flash disk

Hello,
I got a problem, when i plug my USB flash disk, it says "USB Devire Not recognized", it does apply to all USB flash disk, but i can use the port normally for my USB mouse or connecting my phone through USB port.. I can open my USB flash disk on another computer, so it's not the problem from the device. This problem is started when i plug one of my flashdisk to my computer, but when i scan that flashdisk on another computer, there are no threat like virus or another script.. I've already tried to install the newest USB driver 2.0, but it's still "Not recognized".. Please help me, i got a dead end here..

Right-click on My Computer and choose Manage
Click on Disk Management
Right-click on your Thumbdrive and select "Change drive letter and paths"

Give it another drive letter and see if it sorts itself :-)

I did exactly what you said and it doesn't give me the option to change drive letter? It gives me eject, inventory, free, etc. properties. In the properties it says Drive:0

When I plug-in the USB Disc, I also get the message but than the device gets shot off power and I can't see it in computer management. even though device manager lists unknown device. it's happing to all my flash discs, they work fine on all other computers

I've done this:

Right-click on My Computer and choose Manage
Click on Disk Management

But, my there's no selection of my thumb drive..

Does it mean that it's gone case??

I tried changing the driver name but din work for me.... any alternate solution for that??? it says "please insert a disk into driver D:"

I have exactly the same problem as chillingsilence. I did exactly what you told us to do, but the thumb doesn't show up. What to do? I have some important work on there as well... so can you tell me whether the data will be erased, too?

Its easy go to start triple click programs then go to my computer and refresh it or format your usb

Well! if windows was un able to complete format, will it mean that the USB Flash is damaged, If not how can it be reprogrammed so that it can be re formated?

You connect USB Flash disk then Right Mycomputer & manage then show Ur USB drive then right click there & added drive letter.

Same . i can't open my flashdisk . format= not work. why?
my flash disk have lamp red. and this situation,red lamp always show, like not know to read or hang/error.
we know that function lamp, get now how process or respond computer. i don't now why?
but info drive flash disk=(e:) is show & can't open or format. why? why?

I have the same problem, the red light shows on my pendrive but my computer doesn't recognise it at all. When I click on my computer no removable disk is there for me to open. Plzz help anyone.
