Dell Inspiron AC light on, but not processor

I have a Dell Inspiron laptop, only 3 years old. I had to disassemble it to tighten the video graphics card (previously blue lines were appearing only on start-up, had the problem before but then the computer was under warranty).
The first time the furthest I got was removing the keyboard, because I had a stripped screw on the display case-had to wait to get a different screw driver. The only things I touched were the P labeled screws associated with the palm rest, but put them back in once I realized I wasn't going to get the display off. I put everything back plugged in and tried to power up. Where I ran into the problem: (See below) I waited for the other screwdriver and forged ahead. (figured it had something to do with the keyboard or the antennae and deal with it later)
I disassembled the laptop this included removing the cell battery. I reassembled the laptop and tried to power it up. Note: I have previously removed the ion battery. I plug the adapter into the computer and hit the power button. What happens then is that the ac light comes on, the processor blinks and nothing happens.
The fans do not power up and silence from the hard drive. The only lights that blink are the keyboard commands (caps, num, and scroll lock) before the computer powers off/or I pull the plug.
Note: The first time I attempted to fix the computer I never made it to removing the palm rest, or touching the internal parts of the computer. Nor have I dropped it in any span.
You help would be great,
Thanks!
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3.0.11
Really? I was assuming that I placed either the keyboard incorrectly or the antennae card. The problem arose after I made simple changes.
