BSOD on start-up safe mode works.

Hello, upon normal start up i get a bsod with this error mssg:

Stop: 0x0000008E 0xC0000005, 0xB70D78D3, 0xB85D7970, 0x805

00000F4C - Address B7DD78D3 base at B7DD7000, Date Stamp 49c97a84

I have tried virus scans and registry repairs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I thank you all in advance for your replies.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.11

Hi,

uninstall any recently installed software/hardware and then try again.

repair your windows using the Windows Installation CD.

this should fix the problem
