Four beeps four times nothing on screen

Hello,
I am using hp dc 7100 pc when i booting up give me nothing on screen but four continues beeps four times then stop beeping. I took ram card,then all other external attachment as well as cpu as well but same beeps.

Configuration: Windows xp professional
Firefox 3.0.11

Hi,

this may be a motherboard problem.

this might have been caused by an electric surge.

get it replaced.

Hey sorry to bother you i just read your thread and it seems to me that you had the 4 beep problem and said it could be the power supply, was it the power supply that was the problem? if you could get back to me asap at dave1511@hotmail.com thanks for your time.
