Toshiba will not power on

Hello,


I am using the system described above. When I attempted to power it up this morning, the computer did not show a display, but gave the following sequence of indicator lights:

BATTERY->POWER-> after turning the on light off.

I have been able to get the computer to come on, but it does not stay on longer than five minutes.
Configuration: Windows XP
Internet Explorer 6.0

Hi. It sounds like your battery has no power. Are you letting it charge long enough before removing it from it's power source. Is the wall plug you are using actually working? Is the computer connected properly to the power cords while charging?

It could also be that your battery will not hold juice anymore. They do die.

I have a Toshiba (new), but had an old compac and it did this. The battery was worn out and couldn't keep a charge. I had to keep it plugged up to use it and if I didn't, it would shut down in about 3 seconds or so

Entering BIOS causes power off Hello, When I hit the 'DEL' key to enter the bios the power goes off. It will not power on again for several minutes.
