Hello All,

Any ideas on how to manage an iPhone 3GS without iTunes? I'm a recent Mac to PC switcher and I just can't get used to how slow iTunes is on a PC.

I have found a couple alternatives to iTunes but are any compatible with the new iPhone OS 3?

I'm on Windows 7 and if possible would like a free alternative.

Thanks!
Mike

Configuration: Windows 7 Internet Explorer

You are not the only one who got compatibility issues with the iPhone 3GS and alternatives to iTunes.

I tried Sharepod and Mediamonkey and they don't seem to work neither with this new Apple device.

Fortunately I found this free iTunes alternative that works pretty well and that is fully compatible with iPhone 3GS and OS 3 as well.

It worths trying it, it's free!

You can download it from here:

Hope that helps ;-)

Jenny is a pitch man for copytrans. They troll forums and post links back to their site posing as members of the public. Total scam.

Jenny might be a "pitch man" but copytrans was the only thing I could find other than itunes that let me copy music on my iphone. MLpod (plugin for Winamp) doesn't seem to work with OS 3.0 yet :(

I did find copytrans manager (free) to be very finicky. Sometimes it would copy stuff over and sometimes not. It said it copied, I updated the iphone, I ejected the iphone and when I went to view the music, it just wasn't there. I've done it in very small batches and checked after each batch because it's very annoying waiting for it and thinking it's worked when all you've done is wasted time. I know the music get's transferred because the space available goes down but it just doesn't show up in the library.

I guess I'll take it for now till something better comes along.

Please, don't liberally add an apostrophe to a word like "get". "Gets" gets the work done well enough, thankyou. You have the advantage of typing one less ', and still writing proper English. Isn't that nice?
