Kingston compact flash problem

Hello,

i recently bought a Kingston 8GB compact flash and having taken a series of images my computor cannot read the disc and the disc utility cannot repair or verify the disc...what do i do now? i thought i had formatted it but do not know how to resolve the problem. please help

Hi Gina,

I formatted my CF card with the camera and it stayed the same format (RAW), you have to format the memory card with your computer into a FAT32 format. After you do that it can be viewed properly from the computer.
I don't know how that would be done on a MAC though.

To get the information off of the RAW format I plugged my camera up to a machine with Linux and copied it off that way.
