Assasins creed crashes

Hello,
I have 4gb ddr2 ram, 9600gt nvdia and quadcore processor. But when i play Assasins Creed it crashes when the player enters in the 2nd level Jerusalem. I have Xp sp2 32bit. And also I have 2 copies of this game but the same problem.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0
