Hello Friends,

I read some forum messages here, but i could not get the answer for my LAPTOP problem.
I bought the laptop in China and asked them to install English OS. They did it but i am not able to access the internet. Its my badluck.

When i see the lan settings, it says it is connected.
I have tried the all of the following:
- firewall on/off
- obtain IP automatically and also setup some IP
- Tried in Mozilla and IE6.0

All cases it can connect to the internet. And in CMD prompt, i could ping all web sites.
IP address is fine and all the display of "ipconfig/all" is perfect.

But when i open the page on IE or Mozilla, it cannot display the page. It takes long time to open the page and finally it fails.

When i hit ENTER, it said "website found, waiting for reply", but it cannot download.

Please help me to find the problem, i am almost thinking that my money spent on the laptop is gone in vain.

PLSSSSSS, i am very eager to see your reply.

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Dear Sir,

You just have to check if internet explorer is on offline mode!

Just check this setting and if the problem persists

Just click on Tools > Internet Options > Click the connections tab

Click on LAN settings, and tick on automatically detect proxy settings

Press OK

And restart your computer!
