DVD ROM disappear

Hello,

I have problem with my DVD ROM player.. the icon disappear and also at device manager disappear too..
Please help me.. i'm using Laptop Acer aspire 4520, RAM 2gb, windows XP service pack 2..
hope my problem can be solve..
