Game crashes at start

Hello,
i downloaded MGS 1 for the pc . i have vista , when i installed it and try to play it it says game crashed on previous iitialization,game starting software rendering mode... i tried all the compatabilty modes and nothing and i also tried reinstalling it bout 5 times please help i've been wanting to play this classic game for ages. thanks :)

check the game's requirements.

it may be that your system does not meet the requirements.

or it may be that the game is not for Windows Vista.
