Hello,

i just bought logitech x-240 speakers, replacing my old creative(?) sub woofer +4 satellite set up. im using realtek ac97 audio.

it seems whenever i plug anything into the green plug in only the front left speaker produces sound, that includes music, games and movies. ive tried to reconfigure the green plug in through the sound manager to make the black plug in the front speakers, but i havent found a way to do so. if anyone has any advice please inform me on how to do so. i thought the new speakers would solve my problem but its the green plug in, all the others work fine.

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.11

Hi,

go to control panel > sounds and audio devices to check the balance level.

or it may be that the RCA socket is damaged, get it repaired.

Im having a similar issue my right speaker gives out no sound I have tested with 3 sets of speakers my home surround sound system with the computer adapter and I have tired 2 sets of head phones and all of them only give sound through the left ear/speaker and theres this static sound from the right ear of my headsets My grandfather is did some comp support and he thinks its the sound card (the built in one) and ive come to that conclusion to, yes I have checked the audio levels and everything, however I am having the suspicion that a past virus that i had may have damaged something in the system that caused this problem maybe a few ideas of fixes before I go out and decide to purchase a sound card?
