Need Help for windows missing file

Hi Every one

When I am starting my computer my computer not starts and give this error "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTE32\CONFIG\SYSTEM". I need help to solve this problem and also need a tip 1. If I copy of this file as a backup at other place of hard drive after solving this problem and if this problem comes again after some days or months can this problem solve that tim by pasting file in windows coping from backup. 2. And if I reinstall the windows xp after some time and above mentioned problem comes and I copy backup file in newer installed windows from old backup or older date so can with the help of doing this problem can resolve ? I shall be very thankfull in this regrad. I need help in detail.
