Mtu problem

Hello,
i had an xbox which was connected to xbox live, it broke so i got a new one. so when i tried to reconnect it sayed mtu problem. so i downloaded a program and changed and it worked for a day. now when i test my mtu limit it only goes to 1330 compared to the 1470 i had on the first day of my new xbox and my old one. what can i do to raise the limit of my computers mtu?

Configuration: Windows XP
Firefox 3.0.11
