I need guidance on picking the right one

I need help on putting YouTube videos in my 8GB video iPod. I downloaded the video download studio which many people were saying was good and useful but it turns out that you have to pay $19.95 for the program. Did you guys pay to get it? I wouldn't mind paying but I am more in favor of a free video download converter. Can anybody give me some suggestions?

That is not exactly my problem. My problem is that i need a free and good quality video converter that can convert youtube videos and transfer them into my ipod. I am not willing to pay for this as i already spend lots of money on computer cleanups etc. So if you know any websites where i can find a free one, please let me know.
