Updating my router to connect to the Wii

Hello,
I went to the nitendo website to find out why I was unable to connect my wii to the internet to find out that the wii does not like my dlink router and I need some kind of fiberware update to update my WBR-1310, but I cannot even sign into my router to fix it help!! Please!! The password my wizard told me to use does not work
