Sign in problem with windows live messenger

Hello,
could any body help me with this problem ? i have a sign in problem with windows live messenger.. when I type my ID and password correctly I get an error message. when I press troubleshoot button it can't check the IE's offline settings I don't know why !!!! then I tried to reload the messenger then I change the whole operating system but it doesn't help the same problem still exist for so many days and really i don't know what to do

Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Which version of windows messenger are you using ?

Try to use windows messenger 8.5


also please check your internet connection ...


If you really need to messenger you can still use ebuddy ?
