Hello,

I read the other forums posts about not being able to get past the welcome screen on vista but mine seems to be a bit different. I get prompted for my password and it goes to the loading symbol and says welcome and then the screen goes black with another loading cursor and then goes back to a screen that says please wait and i get prompted for my log on password again. I know im not typing in the wrong password because i intentionally typed in the wrong one and it says its incorrect.. i have vista ultimate on a lenovo t61p.. ive already tried booting in safe mode and the same thing happens.. tried keeping it off.. with and without power cord.. removed battery.. anything i can think of has failed.. any input for help would be much appreciated. im dual booted with Ubuntu currently also

Configuration: Linux
Firefox 3.0.5

I don't think that it is a hardware problem..

i would advice you to install a fresh copy of windows on your computer or try repairing your actual windows.

kind regards
